About Inn on Capelin Bay
We're proud of our Inn. We're proud of our town. We're proud of our province. It shows in the Inn's construction, our hospitality, and our stories. And we're excited to share all of that with you. The Inn on Capelin Bay was built in 2014 on a hill on the north side of Calvert Bay (formerly Capelin Bay) with picturesque views. It incorporates reclaimed materials from the original house and other buildings in the town as well as antiques from handed down from the proprietor's family and other places around the province.

Panoramic Views
The Inn is nestled among the trees overlooking Calvert Bay, which is at the heart of the famous Irish Loop. This makes the Inn the perfect place to act as hub for your Southern Shore exploration. Within minutes of the Inn you'll find a popular dinner theatre, hiking trails, whale/puffin watching tours, bird sanctuaries, provincial parks, waterfalls, and the famous Lighthouse Picnics. Often people don't want to run around but just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet while taking in the breathtaking views. One of the more popular activities for early birds is a short hike up the East Coast Trail for a perfect view of the first sunrise in Canada! Unique Offerings
Sunrise Breakfasts
For our earlbird guests, we offer an optional picnic breakfast, which can be taken up to Castle Hill and enjoyed while watching the sun rising over the Atlantic ocean for the first time in Canada. You and your picnic basket will be driven 5 minutes to the East Coast trail where you'll hike another 5 to 10 minutes to find the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. Additiona fees apply, weather permitting. Please inquire for details or include "Sunrise Breakfast" in your reservation notes.
For those who don't wish to wake early but still wish to enjoy the outdoors, we've built an enclosed breakfast patio so you can enjoy your breakfast in the sun - at a time of your choosing!
Evening Cocktail
What's better than sitting on the 2nd floor balcony, the front deck, or the Fiorella cocktail porch in the evening enjoying the view? Doing so with a cocktail! Guests are invited to fix themselves a nightcap to enjoy on one of our outdoor decks or while unwinding before a good night sleep in one of our king sized beds and premium mattresses.

Vacation Property
While our primary reservations are B&B, we do offer a limited number of weekly vacation property rentals. This is ideal for families of 4 to 8 that would like to rent the entire property for their exclusive use. Minimum rental period is 7-days (typically Sunday to Saturday).
