Suppers at the Inn

Are you exploring the Southern Shore?  Hungry?  Want to sample local cuisine in a more personal atmosphere?  This is for you!!

 

Inn on Capelin Bay offers private suppers for locals and tourists alike.  Menus can be customized to meet your needs; however, we recommend requesting one of our popular Newfoundland menus such as our roast turkey dinner, fish fry dinner or the very traditional fish stew and jigg's dinner menus!  

 

OUR GOAL is to showcase Newfoundland's renowned hospitality and traditional cuisine the way we locals have been experiencing it: Friends around the dining room table topped with comfort food while sharing tale tales. 

 

Suppers at the Inn include red or white wine with your meal and a cocktail before or after dinner, which can be enjoyed on our large deck overlooking the bay or on the more cozy side deck (The Fiorella Lounge). Enjoy our homemade dessert at your table or take it outdoors to enjoy on one of the decks coffee or tea.

POPULAR LOCAL MENUS

 

Roasted Turkey Dinner includes split pea soup appetizer, roasted turkey, stuffing, roast potatoes, fresh seasonal vegetables, and our famous home-made Newfoundland dinner rolls. 

 

Capelin Bay Fish Fry includes a split pea soup appetizer followed by our homemade, planko encrusted fresh cod with hand-cut french fries, seasoned with sea salt, and served with a side of dressing and gravy, fresh lemon and  good malt vinegar. 

 

Seafood Chowder includes cod tongues with tartar sauce appetizers and a "stick-to-your-ribs" chowder containing cod, scallops, lobster, and shrimp.

 

Traditional Jigg's Dinner includes  salt beef (or salt pork spare ribs), boiled vegetables and steamed pudding. When you're looking for a good old-fashioned meal, this is it. 

 

Newfoundland Hash another traditional meal in Newfoundland, features a sumptuous combination of grilled and seasoned vegetables, roast beef, and potatoes and topped off with a fried egg (optional). It's served with a side of pickled beets and our famous homemade Newfoundland rolls. 

 

Our menus, including wine, desserts, and cocktails are priced from $50/person plus taxes and gratuities. We also offer custom menus and can accommodate most dietary requirements. Complete the request form below with your request and we'll work with you to create the perfect evening!
